GUERRA 1855 HISTORY

In 1855 the master hatter GUERRA received the first request for a supply of hats for the proud Savoy army. Artisans and true 'hat artists' were added to the existing ones, bringing the hat factory to its maximum expansion. The crisis in the sector, around the 1950s, led exports to increasingly distant countries and markets, which were able to appreciate the art, passion and tenacity of such a particular product.

From the distant 1855 to today many things have changed but the hat has always been a witness of events, at the head of both generals and rebels, merchants and artisans, scholars and writers, poets and reactionaries, statesmen and heads of state.
The quality felt hat, which had characterized GUERRA 1855 for more than a century, has retained its prestige and has been gradually supported over the years by models and materials that have been able to keep up with the times (such as high-quality fabrics such as cashmere and alpaca and technical fabrics with surprisingly innovative solutions) and which represent a perennial reference point.

THE QUALITY & EVOLUTION OF GUERRA HATS

We had the pleasure of seeing our efforts rewarded, with the honor and privilege of knowing our hats worn in the past by heads of state such as Eisenhower, Mitterand and the Shah of Persia ... and to continue to continue to collect consensus from personalities of the political, religious, sports and entertainment world on an international level.

The constant research over the years has made possible the creation of a unique and exclusive product in the world such as the cashmere felt hat, the "Cashmere-Felt", of which only GUERRA 1855 preserves the know-how. The study of the needs of our times has also pushed us towards the production of a range of particularly light and non-deformable felt hats, the "Roller-Hat", which, while allowing for rolling, maintain constant shape and characteristics.
